Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED) is hosting a booth at the Denver 5k & Polar Plunge in the Denver Zoo on February 25th, 2017.
The booth will feature information about the oil and gas industry, with a focus on educating the public on the process of hydraulic fracturing. With that said, we need people who will be able to speak intelligently and at a layman level to answer questions that come up. Volunteering at this event provides a great opportunity to engage with the community on this important energy issue!
*Note: You will be sent additional information regarding the event 48 hours prior to your shift.
Additional information on the event:
The Special Olympics Colorado Polar Plunge presented by Westerra Credit Union is a fun and unique way to help support a great cause. You can challenge yourself to jump into a freezing cold pool and get pledges of financial support from your family and friends. To take the plunge, we ask that you raise a minimum of $75 ($50 for students and Special Olympics athletes). All Plungers will receive the official Polar Plunge long sleeve shirt as a token of our appreciation. All runners will also receive a commemorative beanie. Splash and Dash participants will receive both! The Splash & Dash is the combination of a 5K run/walk in Denver's City Park followed by the Polar Plunge at the Denver Zoo. Of course, you can participate in the 5K only if you choose. The fee to enter the 5K is $35, and $40 for day of registration.
