Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED) is hosting education canvass walks in neighborhoods around Colorado. The walk will include going door to door to targeted households to deliver information about the oil and gas industry, with a focus on educating the public on the process of hydraulic fracturing. With that said, we need people who will be able to speak intelligently and at a layman level to answer questions that come up and push them to the CRED.org website. Volunteering provides a great opportunity to engage with the community on this important energy issue!
12:00 noon Meet time and training
12:15 pm Deploy to walk neighborhood
4:00 pm Check In
5400 Ward Road, Suite G80
Arvada, CO 80002
Phone/Maps: It is helpful to have a smart phone with a map function to help guide you through your walk book and direct you where you will drive to start your list of houses.
Driving and Walking : After we meet at the meetup location, your walk book will show you a neighborhood where you will be walking. You will want to drive to the first targeted house on your map. If you would like to walk with a partner, we can assign you one or bring a friend or colleague. This can be someone within your company or a friend or family member. Please denote that on your sign – up or send Chelsie an email.
Helpful Items to Bring:
Layers (We all know how Colorado can be)
Comfortable Walking Shoes
Misc: We encourage all who would like to participate to join us including family members. As a reminder, you will walk an average of 2-4 miles so please keep this in mind as you are planning to bring children. We strongly discourage bringing pets as you will be walking up to homes who may not appreciate dogs.
Thank you again for all of your efforts. Your participation is greatly appreciated and will be helpful in the educational efforts in these communities. Again, if you have any questions, feel free to call or email me.
