September 14: Fiestas Patrias 2014

Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED) is hosting a booth at Fiestas Patrias 2014 on September 14th, 2014.

The booth will feature information about the oil and gas industry, with a focus on educating the public on the process of hydraulic fracturing. With that said, we need people who will be able to speak intelligently and at a layman level to answer questions that come up. Volunteering at this event provides a great opportunity to engage with the community on this important energy issue!

About The Event: Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with Entravision Colorado’s Fiestas Patrias Celebration! Fiestas Patrias commemorates the Mexican struggle for independence from Spain, begun on September 16, 1810, by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the parish priest of Dolores, Guanajuato State. Join us in Civic Center Park for a family-friendly day of food, dancing and cultural activities, including the “Grito de Dolores” ceremony, led by the Mexican Consul General of Denver.

Note: You will be sent additional information regarding the event 48 hours prior to your shift.
